CONSTITUTION AND RULES GOVERNING THE STUDENT’S
COUNCIL

The constitution and rules governing each of the various college Associations
under the student’s council is given below. |
|
|
|
1. |
The Students’ Council shall be constituted to select
the office bearers of the council and other affiliated bodies, such as
cultural association, Athletic association, Science Society, etc. |
|
|
|
2. |
The Students Council shall be a nominated body
comprising of the representatives from the different P.G. and Undergraduate
Departments of the college. |
|
|
|

Each P.G. Department will send two student nominees to
the students council on the basis of academic excellence and quality of
purposeful leadership. Out of the two nominees one should be from the P.G.
classes and another should be from the un dergraduate classes. The
undergraduate Departments (Departments without any Post Graduate facility)
shall send only one student nominee from Undergraduate classes. There shall
be two more nominees from the facility of Commerce. |

In addition to the above student nominees each department shall send
one student on the basis of their excellence in the field of Sports/Drama/N.C.C./N.S.S.
and other cultural or extra curricular activities. There shall be one more
nominee from the faculty of Commerce. |

There shall be two nominees from the M.C.A. and three from Computer
Science Department in the same manner as applicable to other PG Depts. |
|
|
|

After the Students’ Council is formed , the office
bearers for the Students’ Council and other associations shall be selected
from amongst themselves with the following norms. |
